The broken window

The broken window

i would like to share a story about the broken window, which is written by Ivory Illusion, hope you like it as much as i do.:D

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The Broken Window

As the sun turned orangey gold declaring the end of a tiring day, Imran knew the hard work of this day has ended. He grabbed the water pot beside him and sat on the old tree trunk drinking, facing the slowly fading sun. From behind him came his younger sister Abida, looking at him with her wide green eyes. Her smile lifted all the exhaustion he felt. She sat beside him and gazed at the horizon where the sun was going to vanish into in a little while. Both brother and sister were thinking of the same thing but did not speak to each other. As if they were connected by telepathy. Tears began to rundown Abeda’s cheeks silently then she looked at Imran who tried so hard to hide his feelings from her. He hugged her and kissed her forehead as she continued crying.

“I can’t believe that my little sister has grown up so quickly” Imran said bitterly swallowing his pain and added “I promise you that I will make you the best wedding in the village”
“No… you don’t have to do than, look at yourself. You don’t eat well; don’t have enough sleep and barely rest. I can’t let you do that to yourself for… for me!”
“Don’t worry about me dear, I will be alright, I just want father to be resting in piece knowing that I am taking good care of you and mother”
“He knows that you are doing your best, please Imran don’t push yourself so hard”
“I promised I will make you the best wedding and that is what you’ll get so be happy about it and show me your lovely smile, come one where is it, let me see it.”
She looked at him with her teary eyes and smiled when all of a sudden their brotherly moment was interrupted by their mother’s cry calling Imran. He ran to her in the stable and the old women said in a worried tone as she saw him “The calf, the black calf ran to the woods!”
“Oh no! I have to go get it.”
“Don’t go now! It’s getting dark” said the worried mother.
“Yes, the sun will be gone in minutes, wait till the morning” Added Abeda.
“I can’t risk it, it is your husband’s gift, I have to get it back” Imran replied while running to the woods as fast as he could, vanishing into darkness in front of his worried mother and sister.

In the woods, Imran stopped to catch his breath, and found himself surrounded completely by long trees. It was dark, but only little sunlight made him make him was through the jungle, never the less he still wanted to find that calf no matter what. He walked hoping to spot the calf soon before night falls. But, there was no sign of it anywhere.
Suddenly, behind the bushes he thought he saw it jumping and running away taking a visible clear route on the ground which he followed as fast as possible. Till he reached a wall of long bushes blocking his sight, through it was the only way that the calf could go, it was the end of that route. He quickly crossed through it and found himself standing in front of a huge abandoned old mansion and a broken window facing him painted in light blue. Things were much visible in the mansion aria because he was out of the woods. He looked at the sky and saw that there would be no way for him to return home at this hour because he was practically lost in a place he never knew existed.

He went to check the place so he can find a room to spend the night in away from the cold night wind. The bricks in the wall were clearly visible behind the pealed old yellow paint and bare thin branches. Right in front of the window a tidy raw of wild flowers grew. He could barely see the colors; they were mostly red and orange. They made him feel like they were taken care of by a human from the way they were arraigned.

Imran approached the broken window trying to look inside the house. Something about this discovery bewitched him, he forgot about the calf and all of his worries. As his foot rested on the damp soil beneath him, he saw a shimmering light flickering for a moment lighting the dark room. He felt fear yet, wanted to know what the cause of that bright light was.
He got closer to the window, placed both hands on each side of the wall and looked carefully into the room. As he did, a great light struck the whole place swallowing him into the unknown.

Imran struggled to open his heavy eyelids, his body so weak, surrendering to the spellbinding enchanting angelic voice singing a soft lullaby above his head. He forced himself to open his eyes, and what he saw was way beyond what he imagined.
A woman or an angel, he no longer could tell, sat beside him on the edge of a wide silk bed. Her beauty was indescribable; she was the most beautiful woman his eyes have ever laid sight on. With skin like milk, hair as black as nigh, and eyes as light and transparent as fine agate, he no longer was able to speak, nor move. Afraid if he did he will disturb this magical being. He laid there unable to turn his eyes away from her face, studying its every little detail as she moved her lips to sing. He though he was dead in paradise, enjoying his reward for his hard life.

The woman knew he was finally awake and stopped singing. She looked at him with a light smile. He still was unable to speak, not because he physically couldn’t, but because he had no words to say. She swiftly tossed her long hair that rested on her chest behind her and stood up facing him. The young man could no longer think, he was totally overtaken buy her powerful gaze.

“You must be wondering how you ended up here?” the woman coquettishly said.
She moved in the room, walking back and forth beside the bed. Rolling the end of a lock of her hair on her finger and said “You are not dead.”
The farmer lifted his body and asked “If I am not dead then where am I?”
“You are at the same place you came to.”
“You mean the abandoned mansion? But that is impossible, I am sure no one was there!”
“How are you so sure?”
“Because I remember very well that the last thing I did was looking through the glass in to one of the rooms and nothing was there!”
“Oh, you mean you peeping into my room, this room.”
“Peeping?” Imran wondered loudly, and tried to remember, he was so sure nothing was there. It was nothing like this room. “That is not true, because I was pretty sure that nothing was in it!”
‘Oh’ she exclaimed taking the peacock feather fan placed on the side table beside the bed and continued as she swayed the fan near her beautiful face “There was… you simply was not able to see it.”
“What? What do you mean?”
“You have awakened me from my long slumber.”
“Awakened you?”
“You seem not to understand anything of this yet do you?”
“What should I understand? Who are you and what did you do to me?” He said as he moved to stand.
“You are here to break the window!”
“What are you talking bout? I have to go, please!”

The mysterious woman smiled and slowly walked back to him, stood so close, rested her right hand on Imran’s chest. He looked at her hand then, at her face. He was literally paralyzed. She looked directly into his eyes and whispered “I told you…” she delicately swiped the feathers of the fan on his face “you have to brake the window” then gently pushed him, leaving him lying on his back, sailing into the dream land.

MEMO FROM GOD

Effective immediately, please be aware that there are changes you need to make in your life. These changes need to be completed in order that I may fulfill my promises to you to grant you peace, joy and happiness in this life. I apologize for any inconvenience, but after all that I am doing, this seems very little to ask of you. I know, I already gave you the 10 Commandments. Keep them. But follow these guidelines, also:

1. QUIT WORRYING Life has dealt you a blow and all you do is sit and worry. Have you forgotten that I am here to take all your burdens and carry them for you? Or do you just enjoy fretting over every little thing that comes your way?

2. PUT IT ON THE LIST Something needs to be done or taken care of. Put it on the list. No, not YOUR list. Put it on MY to-do-list. Let ME be the one to take care of the problem. I can't help you until you turn it over to me. And although my to-do-list is long, I am after all, God. I can take care of anything you put into my hands. In fact, if the truth were ever really known, I take care of a lot of things for you that you never even realize.

3. TRUST ME Once you've given your burdens to me, quit trying to take them back. Trust in me. Have the faith that I will take care of all your needs, your problems and your trials. Problems with the kids? Put them on my list. Problem with finances? Put it on my list. Problems with your emotional roller coaster? For your sake, put it on my list. I want to help you. All you have to do is ask.

4. LEAVE IT ALONE Don't wake up one morning and say, "Well, I'm feeling much stronger now, I think I can handle it from here." Why do you think you are feeling stronger now? It's simple. You gave me your burdens and I'm taking care of them. I also renew your strength and cover you in my peace. Don't you know that if I give you these problems back, you will be right back where you started? Leave them with me and forget about them. Just let me do my job.

5. TALK TO ME I want you to forget a lot of things. Forget what was making you crazy. Forget the worry and the fretting because you know I'm in control. But there's one thing I pray you never forget. Please don't forget to talk to me - OFTEN! I love you. I want to hear your voice. I want you to include me in on the things going on in your life. I want to hear you talk about your friends and family. Prayer is simply you having a conversation with me. I want to be your dearest friend.

6. HAVE FAITH I see a lot of things from up here that you can't see from where you are. Have faith in me that I know what I'm doing. Trust me, you wouldn't want the view from my eyes. I will continue to care for you, watch over you, and meet your needs. You only have to trust me. Although I have a much bigger task than you, it seems as if you have so much trouble just doing your simple part. How hard can trust be?

7. SHARE You were taught to share when you were only two years old. When did you forget? That rule still applies. Share with those who are less fortunate than you. Share your joy with those who need encouragement. Share your laughter with those who haven't heard any in such a long time. Share your tears with those who have forgotten how to cry. Share your faith with those who have none.

8. BE PATIENT I managed to fix it so in just one lifetime you could have so many diverse experiences. You grow from a child to an adult, have children, change jobs many times, learn many trades, travel to so many places, meet thousands of people, and experience so much. How can you be so impatient then when it takes me a little longer than you expect to handle something on my to-do-list? Trust in my timing, for my timing is perfect. Just because I created the entire universe in only six days, everyone thinks I should always rush, rush, rush.

9. BE KIND Be kind to others, for I love them just as much as I love you. They may not dress like you, or talk like you, or live the same way you do, but I still love you all. Please try to get along, for my sake. I created each of you different in some way. It would be too boring if you were all identical. Please know I love each of your differences.

10. LOVE YOURSELF As much as I love you, how can you not love yourself? You were created by me for one reason only - to be loved, and to love in return. I am a God of Love. Love me. Love your neighbors. But also love yourself. It makes my heart ache when I see you so angry with yourself when things go wrong. You are very precious to me. Don't ever forget that!

With all my heart I love you,

GOD

CLOSED DOORS AND OPENED DOORS

We need to learn to thank the Lord for closed doors just as much as we
do for open doors. The reason God closes doors
is because He has not prepared anything over there for us.

If he didn't close the wrong door we would never find our way to the
right door. Even when we don't realize it, God directs our paths
through the closing and opening of doors. When one door closes, it
forces us to change our course. Another door closes; it forces us to
change our course yet again.

Then finally, we find the open door and walk right into our blessing.
But instead of praising God for the closed door (which kept us out of
trouble), we get upset because we "judge by the appearances." And in our own arrogance, or ignorance, we insist that we know what is right.

We have a very present help in the time of need who is always standing
guard. Because He walks ahead of us, He can see trouble down the road
and HE sets up road blocks and detours accordingly.
But through our lack of wisdom we try to tear down the roadblocks or push aside the detour signs. Then the minute we get into trouble, we start crying "Lord how could this happen to me?"

We have got to realize that the closed door was a blessing. Didn't He
say that "No good thing will He withhold from them that love Him?"

If you get terminated from your job - don't be down, instead thank God
for the new opportunities that will manifest themselves - it might be a
better job, or an opportunity to go to school. If that man or woman
won't return your call - it might not be them, it might be the Lord
setting up a roadblock (just let it go).

One time a person had a bank he had been doing business with for many
years tell him "NO" for a $10,000 loan. The Lord led him to call another
bank. That bank approved a $40,000 loan for him at a lower interest rate
than his own bank had advertised.

I'm so grateful, for the many times God has closed doors to me, just to
open them in the most unexpected places. "The steps of a good man are
ordered by the Lord, and He delights in his way." (Psalms 37:23) The
mountain top is glorious, but it is in the Valley that I will grow!

STOP TYING YOUR BLESSINGS TO THE GROUND

STOP TYING YOUR BLESSINGS TO THE GROUND

Stop tying your blessings to the ground
Only allowing God to work and move based on where you are right now
God is bigger than any geographic location
God can handle every situation
Why on God are you placing stipulations
Bless me like this
Then bless me like that
Bless my friends too and cut them some slack
But only bless me in my little corner
I'm a spiritual babe right now, for the big stuff, wait til I'm older
Why is it only a blessing if it comes in the packaging you require
When God is trying to meet your heart's desire
That desire and His will just might take you out of your own backyard (your comfort zone)
And plant your feet on higher ground, closer to the throne
Now those are the blessings we are most scared of
Because they might take us away from the ones we love
They might put a distance between us and our cheering section
Might cause some separation from those who show us affection
When God gives you a blessing its not just for you
It's a seed planted because He has work for you to do
So please don't tie your blessing to the ground
Discern the voices so you know God's sound
Listen to the spirit and move out in faith
Don't be hindered by circumstances thinking you don't rate
God has equipped you to do mighty things
Don't be distracted by the sadness that life sometimes brings
Stop sitting on your blessing
You might lose the lesson
The work God has for you
May mean bidding your current location/occupation/situation/relations "adieu" (goodbye)
Bask in the mercy and grace you've found
Stop tying your blessings to the ground

flying hearts

With the intensity of my dreams radiating my heart to beat faster
wishing all things away to find my soul
I prayed to change myself
so I set out to find you in a heaven of floating hearts
to tell you that I love you
manifesting hope with the echoing whisper of a message
like a miracle rain in the desert
in the Westerly wind of silence that blew threw my heart
making way for a place for me in your heart
I want you to have my heart
to hold like flying in our spiritual fantasy
like the old man in the sea
like faithful flowers of forest friends
I know everything about you and I still love you
my heart is here in the electrical sun of the moon
over the misty ridge my heart waits
love me

DO I PLEASE YOU LORD?

Do You smile when You look upon me?
Are You pleased dear Lord in what You see?
Do I reflect the endless love of You?
Am I leading others to Your truth?
Do I witness to the uttermost parts?
Am I shining Your light within my heart?
Am I giving You the glory that You deserve?
Am I ashamed to tell all of whom I serve?
Am I taking this message to the ends of the earth?
Am I giving all that You are worth?
Am I making full proof of my ministry?
Do all see You when they look upon me?
Do I have the boldness that You require?
Is my hearts cry to do Your desire?
Have I sanctified You in my heart?
Am I ready Lord, to do my part?
Do I give an answer to all whom ask,
Or do I pick and choose whom should know last?
Do I praise You Lord often enough?
Do I only pray when times are tough?
Do I honor You with more than my words?
Has my life been set apart from the herd?
Have I trusted Your wisdom and taught of Your truth?
Have I grown in Your sight since my Youth?
Have I brushed off Your Spirit Lord when You call?
Do I say send me Lord, for You I give my all?
Am I understanding fully, Your love for the lost?
Am I willing to serve You whatever the cost?
Have I counted my blessings, and made up my mind?
Have I chosen to serve You, and walk that narrow line,
Or have I been like a wave dear God, tossed to and frow?
When You've asked me to sacrifice have I said no?
Have I submitted to You Lord, or remained the same?
Am I complacent, or letting You lead my way?
Have I committed to You God, In all that I do?
Have I fallowed my Lord when You've led me in truth?
Have I leaned on You, and not my own understanding?
Do I acknowledge You God, in all my lifes planning?
Though the world slay's me, do I trust in You still?
Is my hearts cry to remain in Your will?
Am I faithful my Lord, as You've been good to me?
Do I thank You daily for supplying my needs?
Do You smile oh God, when You look upon me?
Are You pleased dear Lord, in what You see?

GOD'S CAKE

Sometimes we wonder, "What did I do to deserve this?" or "Why did God have to do this to me?" Here is a wonderful explanation!

A daughter is telling her Mother how everything is going wrong, she's failing algebra, her boyfriend broke up with her and her best friend is moving away.

Meanwhile, her Mother is baking a cake and asks her daughter if she would like a snack, and the daughter says, "Absolutely Mom, I love your cake."

"Here, have some cooking oil," her Mother offers. "Yuck" says her daughter.
"How about a couple raw eggs?" "Gross, Mom!"

"Would you like some flour then? Or maybe baking soda?" "Mom, those are all yucky!"
To which the mother replies: "Yes, all those things seem bad all by themselves but when they are put together in the right way, they make a wonderfully delicious cake!

God works the same way. Many times we wonder why He would let us go through such bad and difficult times. But God knows that when He puts these things all in His order, they always work for good!

We just have to trust Him and, eventually, they will all make something wonderful!
God is crazy about you. He sends you flowers every spring and a sunrise every morning.

Whenever you want to talk, He'll listen.
He can live anywhere in the universe, and He chose your heart.
Life may not be the party we hoped for, but while we are here we might as well dance.
